First of all: god I'm so sorry to hear about this diagnosis! Even if it's "not that bad" compared to other cancers, it's, like you said, still skin cancer and still a terrifying thing to have happen to you... I don't think I would have the slightest idea how to process that in your position either.

Your concert experience sounds absolutely lovely, I'm glad you got to see Ray at last! :)

I'm glad that your Pittsburgh trip was still enjoyable overall... your description of the things you did made me smile (my dad's family all moved to Canada from Pittsburgh just after he was born and I have a crazy amount of extended family still there due to my grandpa having 12 siblings. I also visited as a young child, and things like "being inexplicably obsessed with Heinz as a brand" feels very familiar and nostalgic to me based on my family members, lol.)

I returned to work on Valentine's Day from my surgical leave and it's similarly been sort of... getting dunked right back in the deep end of imminent project/event planning. Godspeed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
