Really strange to write so many words about natural dyeing without including any pictures, but it's such a hassle on DW (probably because I'm not familiar enough with the platform or Markdown)...
As soon as I wrote all this, I started thinking about going back and trying black walnut as a dye rather than an ink. The rich, chocolatey browns have always been one of my favorite colors you can get from natural dyes, but I've always been distracted by the fancier dyestuffs. Gotta wait until autumn, though...
